Hello

Greetings everyone,

My name is Richard Duryea and I am a filmmaker.  I have long desired to tell stories to the rest of mankind and I have some so through various mediums.  I have acted on the stage and I have spoken around the campfire to those willing to listen.  I have experienced great joy in these forms of storytelling and I shall continue to do so for as long as I am capable.
I have grown up watching and admiring a great many films; films that expand the definition of humanity and films that form new understanding.  Those are the films that I intend to create.  I may be but a student for now, but come along and follow me on this journey that I have chosen.  A treacherous path full of sorrow and despair, but I have learned long ago that the greater the goal, the more glory in overcoming it.  I do not consider myself a prideful man, but one that remains humble in moments of triumph and despair. 
My goal is to become a film director and even though my chances are minuscule at best, I remain positive as I go at a steady pace in writing and creating films.  I intend to inspire those around me and those who see my work.  That no matter how far you have fallen, there is still a place for you.
